THE ART OF MARRIAGE

A good marriage must be created

In the marriage, the little

Things are the big things.

It is never being to old to say "I love you"

at least once each day.

It is never going to sleep angry.

It is having a mutual sense of values

and common objectives.

It is standing together and facing the world.

It is forming a circle of love

that gathers in the whole family.

It is speaking words of appreciation and

demonstrating gratitide in thoughtful ways.

It is having the capacity to forgive and forget.

It is giving each other an atmosphere

in which each can grow.

It is a common search for the good

and the beautiful.

It is not only marrying the right person,

It is being the right partner.

To thee my love I pledge my troth

I also pledge my  new dishcloth.

Hugs and kisses you can steal,

If sometimes you will cook a meal

The kitchen not just my domain,

With chefs hat on we both can reign.

To thee my love, i will be true,

If you will do some ironing too.

We'll share the laughter, worries, cares,

If sometimes you will sweep the stairs.

If both decide to live like slobs,

Then clearing up is both our jobs.

So if there's cleaning up to do,

Its not just me, but me and you.

The love we have will last forever,

If you and I just work together.

DONT QUIT

When things go wrong, as they sometimes will,

When the road your travelling seems all up hill,

When the funds are low, and the debts are high,

And you want to smile,but you have to sigh,

When care is pressing you down a bit,

Rest if you must, but dont you quit.

Life is queer with its twists and turns,

As everyone of us sometimes learns,

And many a failure turns about,

When he might have won had he stuck it out;

Dont give up though the pace seems slow,

You may suceed with another blow.

Success is failure turned inside out,

The silver tint in the cloud of doubt,

And you never can tell how close you are,

It may be close when its seems so far;

So stick to the fight when your hardest hit

Its when things seem worse,

That you must not quit.

Go placidly amid the noise and the haste, and remember what peace there may be in silence. As far as possible, without surrender, be on good terms with all persons. Speak your truth quietly and clearly; and listen to others, even the dull and the ignorant; they too have there story.  Avoid loud and aggressive persons; they are vexations to the spirit.

If you compare yourself with others, you may become vain or bitter, for always there will be greater and lesser persons than yourself. Enjoy your achievements as well as your plans. Keep interested in your own career, however humble; it is a real possesion in the changing fortunes of time. Exercise caution in your business affairs, for the world is full of trickery. But let this not blind you to what virtue there is ; many persons strive for high ideals, and everywhere life is full of heroism.  Be yourself.  Especially do not feign affection.  Be neither cynical about love; for in the face of  all aridity and disenchantment it is perennial as the grass.  Take kindly the counsel of the years, gracefully surrnedering the things of youth.  Nurture strength of spirit to shield you in sudden misfortune.  But do not distress yourself with dark imaginings.  Many fears are born of fatigue and loneliness.  Beyond a wholesome discipline, be gentle with yourself.  You are a child of the universe no less than the trees and the stars; you have a right to be here.  And whether or not it is clear to you, no doubt the universe is unfolding as it should.  Therefore be at peace with God, whatever you conceive him to be. And whatever your labours and aspirations, in the noisy confusion of life, keep peace in your soul. With all its sham, drudgery and broken dreams, it is still a beautiful world. be cheerful. Strive to be happy.

Get to know yourself.

Fnd out who you are.

Choose your goals carefully.

Be honest with yourself.

But don't think about yourself so much

that you analyse every word and action.

Find many interests and pursue them.

Find out what you are good at,

and dont be afraid to make mistakes.

Work hard to achieve sucesses.

When things are not going right

dont give up -- just try harder.

Find courage inside of you to remain strong

Give yourself freedom to try out new things

Don't be so set in your ways that you can't grow

Always act in an ethical way

Laugh and have a good time

Form relationships with people you respect

Treat others as you want them to treat you

Be honest with people

Accept the truth

Speak the truth

Open yourself to love

Dont be afraid to love

Remain close to your family

Take part in the beauty of nature

Be appreciative of all that you have

Help those less fortunate than you

Try to make others lives happy

Work towards peace in the world

Live life to the fullest

My son dreams can come true

I can barely begin to tell you all my wishes for you,

There are so many  of them and i want them all to come true.

I want you to use your heart as a compass as you grow and find your way in the world,

But I want you to always have an appreciation for the direction of home.

I want you to be self-reliant, self-motivated, and self-sufficient,

But to know that you will never be alone.

I want you to be safe and smart and cautious.

I want you to be wise beyond your years,

but I don't want you to grow up too fast.

I want you to come to me with your fears.

I want the people who share your days to realize that they  are in the presence of a very special someone.

You are a wonderful, rare person with no comparison.

I want you to know that opportunities will come,

and you will have many goals to achieve.

The more obstacles get in the way of your dreams,

The more you will need to believe.

Get your feet wet with new experiences,

but me sure you never get in over your head.

I want you to realize how capable you are,

and that your possibilities are unlimited.

I hope you never lose your childlike wonder,

your delight and appreciation in interesting things.

I know you will keep responding in a positive way to the challenges life always brings.

I pray that you wont't rush the future,

and that you will slowly build on the stepping stones of the past.

You have a strong foundation of family and friends,

and joy that will always last.

I wish I could find the words to tell you how much I love you each and every day,

but that feeling is so strong and its meaning is so magnificent,

it can be hard to know just what to say.

I love you beyond all words,

And I promise I will love you beyond all time.

So many treasures await you in your journey through life ...

And being blessed with you has been mine.
