WHEN WE TWO PARTED by GEORGE GORDON LORD BYRON

When we two parted

   In silence and tears,

Half broken-hearted

   To sever for years,

Pale gew thy cheek and cold,

   Colder thy kiss;

Truly that hour foretold

   Sorrow to this.

The dew of the morning

   Sunk chill on my borw -

It felt like a warning

   Of what I feel now.

They vows are all broken,

   And light is they fame;

I hear thy name spoken,

   And share in its shame.

They name thee before me,

   A knell to mine ear;

A shudder comes o'er me -

   Why wert though so dear?

They know not I knew thee,

   Who knew thee too well: -

Long, long shall I rue thee,

   Too deeply to tell.

In secret we met -

   In silence I grieve,

That thy heart forget,

   Thy spirit decieve.

If I should mmet thee

   After long years,

How should I greet thee?

   With silence and tears.

KNOW THYSELF  by ALEXANDER POPE

Know then thyself, presume not God to scan;

The proper study of mankind is Man.

Placed on this isthmus of a middle state,

A being darkly wise and rudely great:

With too much knowledge for the Sceptic side,

With too much weakness for the Stoic;s pride,

He hangs between; in doubt to act or rest,

In doubt to dem himself a God or Beast,

In doubt his mind or body to prefer;

Born but to die, and reasoning but to err;

Alike in ignorance, his reason such

Whether he thinks too little or too much:

Chaos of thought and passion, all confused;

Still by himself abused. or disabused;

Created half to rise and half to fall;

Great lord of all things, yet a prey to all;

Sole judge of truth, in endless error hurled:

The glory , jest and riddle of the world!

A POISON TREE  by  WILLIAM BLAKE

I was angry with my friend:

I told my wrath, my wrath did end.

I was angry with my foe:

I told it not. my wrath did grow.

And I watered it in fears,

Night and morning with my tears;

And I sunned it with smiles,

And with soft deceitful wiles.

And it grew both day and night,

Till it bore an apple bright;

And my foe beheld it shine,

And he knew that it was mine,

And into my garden stole

When the night had veiled the pole:

In the morning glad I see

My foe outstretched beneath the tree.

Tell Me Things by FCT

Tell Me things I want to hear

And let them fill my mind

Float across my senses

Touch something cold inside

Whisper softly all those words

That warm this chilly heart

Hold me in your beleagured arms

Never let us part

Silently the world spins on

I dont need to watch its path

The moon has its sky so dark

The stars the aftermath

The sun I will give to you

To keep your days so bright

With the sparkle in your eyes

You have set my heart alight

LIFE by Shady_Kid ( age 11)

Is life real?

Or a dream?

We don't know

not you, not me

Are you living?

Or are you dead?

Is all of this

in your head?

Is love love?

or is it fake?

Maybe your at the bottom

of a lake.

Is life real?

Or a dream?

We don't know

not you, not me
