once a wishful thought

peace and understanding

a lesson taught

Forgotten promises

those of sins!!

the neglections of others

no heart will win!!

forgotten promises of a Mum to a Child

just one lil lie, wont hurt it's mild

but that forgotten promise

will be remembered forever

through every lifes tail

and every endeavour

a forgotten promise is tha circulation

of tha bitter end

one promise gone

one lost friend

to many people go a miss in the world

their thoughts,no longer here

their heart strings curled!!!

I told a forgotten promise one time

just one promise i failed to keep

and guilt through my viens it did seep

this promise it plagued me, it's on my mind

my soul!!!, its that ever deepening darkened hole

but one in ten tell a forgotten promise a day

and forgets about the hurt and passes the day away

I look into their eyes and see tha saddened glance

they've passed up that chance

to re-kindle a friendship thats now layed to rest!

and this is the way they only see best

forgotten promises is all they know

how to become stronger as they grow

I that forgotten promise

and the very next day

I went back and made that promise

and kept it secure

and now i dont need to worry anymore

if you forget a promise, and worry no more

remember that promise that was made to you before

then look back on this promise

remember what I'd do

and maybe it wont be me writing this poem

it'll be you!!!!

Reaching for the stars by Rief

Have you ever sat by the window at night?

Lights out … gazing at the stars.

Music from your stereo swimming through your head.

Your spirit reaching for the sky, shaking free your earthly bonds.

The chains of life no longer an encumbrance.

Soaring with your dreams … flying free

The cool night air cleansing you from the inside, ridding you of the

staleness of life and taking the cloak of frustration from your shoulders.

Closing your eyes and breathing in deeply.

The tingle in your stomach growing with every moment, flowing through

 your body filling your head.

You smile in the darkness … a smile not meant for anyone else to see.

You slowly open your eyes and breath in deeply.

Feelings of excitement, joy and wonderment rush through your body

Your spirit rises from your bodily shell and existance.

Free at last you dance among the stars.

In that moment you know true peace and contentment.

Like no life can truly show on earth.

In that moment …..  you reached the stars.

Where does your life path take you

Do you have a choice

Do you wander aimlessly

Or do you have a voice

Is it predetermined

Is destiny the boss

Do you have to suffer

The pain of grief and loss

Do you affect the outcome

Do you ever have a chance

Or does life take you anyway

And lead a merry dance

The answers wont be hiding

Or buried deep within a hole

They wait for you to realise

They live within your soul

I spose life teaches lessons

It matters not how much you yearn

For things can always fall apart

Its up to you to learn

Should you let life change you

Or should you keep your faith

To just lie down and let life happen

That seems an aweful waste

The answers differ for everyone

There are no set golden rules

I suppose its how we deal with things

Using experience as our tools

For life shows people different things

Its for you to stand and fight

For me well I chose long ago

To rage gainst the dying of the light

My advise to you my friend

Is to look inside your heart

If you don’t like the answers there

Then make a brand new start

DARKNESS WITHIN by HEATHER

Within my soul, there lays a place so dark that no one goes.

For there I hide my darkest thoughts it's where the hurt still grows. 

The monster raging deep inside  the one i daren't let show,

 if anyone caught a glimpse her I know that they would go

I keep her under lock and key controlled behind steel bars,

for the monster is my inner child and she is full of scars.

 Full of rage and despair  for the suffering she knew,

and  if I let her out right now who knows what she would do.

The anger,  pain and  bitterness that lies within her breast,

would explode against the world and drown all that's best..

The loving side of me would die I know without a doubt,

and that is why I mustn't ever let the poor wretch out.
