I can be a rock
by GothKitty

I can be a rock, when I don't want to cry
I can cry, When I don't want to seem cold
I can be ice, when I don't want to show my pain
I can reveal it all, when you promise not to hurt me
I can hide it all, when your broken promise hurts
But you'll never know, cause I can be a rock

Guilt is the shadow that darkens your eyes,
sometimes following, the teller of lies.

Honesty is goodness, it's right and it's fair,
Giving is willing, with others, to share.

No matter is the colour, age or race,
what matter's are emotions,
read on your face...

If Only....
by *Snatch

 If only life were simple,
and dreams always came true,
if money were no object
there'd be so much to do...

If only time could stand still
when all was going great,
if only we were masters
of both our lives and fate.

If only everyone could smile,
at everyone they met.
If only we could wake each day
with nothing to regret.

If only it were easy
to always speak your mind.
Would life be much better,
is that what we'd find?

If only I had taken time,
to do so many things..
spending time enjoying life
and everything it brings...

If only I had stopped to think
upon a time or two..
I might have changed a moment
if I'd only thought it through.

In A Chatroom
by Cuntrygyrl

Sittin' here watchin' all the words on the screen
Makes me think of what it all means
Is there someone out there feelin' alone
Someone that has no place to call home
Someone who's been hurt and is feelin' down
someone who's sad and is wearin' a frown
Or is everyone as happy as they seem to appear
With someone they love bein' so near
With a wonderful life in a beautiful place
They've never been hurt and have a smile on their face
But this world of pretend is where we all sit
One special place where we all fit
Havin' a good time and makin' new friends
Til our time of pretend comes to an end

FRIENDS WITHOUT FACES

We sit and we type and we stare at our screens,
We can't help but wonder what all of this means.
With mouse in hand ...we roam through this maze,
On an infinite search...lost in a daze.

We chat with each other, we type all our woes
At times we'll band together to gang up on our foes.
We wait for somebody, to type out our name
We want recognition, but it is always the same.

Soon friendships are formed - but - why we don't know,
But some of these friendships, will flourish and grow.
We give kisses and hugs, and sometimes we'll flirt,
In PMs we chat deeply, and reveal why we hurt.

Why is it on screen, we are so easily bold,
Telling our secrets, that have never been told.

The answer is simple, it is as clear as a bell,
We all have our problems, and need someone to tell.

We can't tell real world people, but tell someone we must
So we turn to our 'puters ...and to those we can trust.
Even though it sounds crazy...the truth still remains,
Most of my "friends" have no faces...and odd little names.

In Darkness
by travis

In darkness, there dwells two lights. Free, soaring creations gliding freely in the dark. Spherical globes, like fire flies. Drawn to one another by some magical and universal pull.
They find each other in the darkness. As they draw near to one another they begin to spin. Faster and faster they go like a merry-go-round gone out of control. They spin until a ring of pure light forms in the darkness. So pure in shape and for it is as if God had forged it him self.
Then, suddenly, they collide with each other, and an eruption of light fills the darkness. The strongest brightest light ever witnessed, Consumes and devours the darkness till there is nothing but the brightness.
Then, slowly, the light fades and the darkness returns. When my eyes return, to see, I gaze upon not two but one, solitary sphere standing firm and bright, five times brighter than the two before. Shinning bright and clear through the darkness and it is never fading.
Off in the distance the ritual is repeated by thousands of others. Over and over again they dance in the blackness. The rings form and the eruptions of light fill the endless space, like the heat of an old time battle at night. But none can compare to the first. None hold the splendor and miracle truth as the first. They went too fast, fell too hard and gave so little. And as time goes by, they all spilt back to their original selves. And some of the light has left from them. But that one still remains as pure and as bright as when I first saw it. It out shines them all......Forever

Inner Emotions
by babyboo ©

Mad at others for not knowing who I am
Yet I myself really have no clue
How can I expect another to know me
When I don't think I even do

On any given day I'm separate people
Multiple personalities of my cluttered mind
Each one if feeling something different
Inside myself I'm afraid what I find

Emotions on the surface never allowed to show
Let out through music or here on a page
Have to release my many frustrations somehow
Cause my anger kept in a cage turns to rage

My existence is ready to explode
Is this a dream or is this real?
Seems more like a nightmare to me
And I'm sick of all this shit I feel

I may never know why I feel the way I do
Happy one moment and the next I cry
The question I keep asking myself is...
Is this living or is this waiting to die?
